One Year- Golden Heart

One Year- Golden Heart

A Poem by Lover Of Words

It went from I love you and i will see you later
To an expected goodbye
You were ready and prepared i am sure
But the family want not
Surly not myself
Your memory is forever sketched
In this heart of mine
The question of where did you go
The day still plays in my head
You were gold
You were everything to me
I still remember you telling me
Be strong, Be yourself.
Continue to love
My dear pawpaw you taught me so much
For its your laugh that i miss
Its been one year
One long heartbreak
Family no matter what
You are forever
The golden heart
That remains in our memories

When I read this line:
The question of where did you go?
I heard in my minds Ears:
I am with you.
When I read:
My dear pawpaw you taught me so much
For its your laugh that i miss
I heard: I am the laugh in your Joy,
I am the thoughts you put in words.
I am the one who watches over you
I am the Love You are
I am the blood in your veins
I am all that I am in you
and you make me Proud!

Thank you so much
Such a wonderful way, I say, to show your affection to a close relative. I can understand how you must feel - my best friend, which I call my sister, lost her grandfather on my fourteenth birthday this year.

It was just so powerful, to say the words "I love you" to someone, that even if one says it without feeling, they do - in some way mean it. I believe that you meant the words in every way, because he must have been really close to you.

Brilliant poem and so much love entered into it.

I enjoy your work. Please, keep sending me reading requests. (:

Thank you very much
This is a beautiful tribute Kelsey and I assume it was your grandfather. I unfortunately never met either of my grandfathers, both passed before I was born. So take these memories and enjoy them for all they are, because some don't even have that. Very nice my friend.
