epiphanies.

epiphanies.

"

dont ask me what this is about if you know me personally.

"

i would give anything in the world to shake these gut feelings.

the ones that hold my insides so tight, i can barely breath,

and make a fist around my heart, that squeeze till it throbs.

I know if you could xray my chest, you could see the blood spurting and strangling my lungs right now.

the sadness i feel today is beyond anything i've ever felt.

a realization over nothing but lessons learned, these secrets i've known for a while,

and a feeling that envelopes me tonight.

a sad epiphany.

its a rant. i wouldn't call it a poem being its totally unstructured and not worded in any form of pretty... soo if you want to hear me bitch and moan feel free to review... if you want to say suck it up same offer. and if you know me then don't even mention this.

You seem so reluctant to call your writing poetry. If someone smears paint on a canvas, whether it is worth buying or not...whether in the style of Picasso or not, it is still a painting.

Perhaps you could refer to your writing as 'Free Free-Verse'. Poetic verse that is too free to sit still for a critic to nail a label on it. Anyway, keep doing what you do.
