The Child Happiness

The Child Happiness

A Poem by Kendall Edison

Gloomy Faces going to work

Business people in stuffy suits

Like Horses with Blinders

Never looking left or right

Never stopping to take a break or just look around.

Then she comes

Like a beautiful ray of sun

Hair wild all over head

She is a multitude of colors

Rings on every finger

Bare foot

Bells on her ankles

Silver bangles on hre wrists

Bright Like a star

She is beautiful beyond compare

She dances wondrefully turning every which way

Her colorful skirts billowing around her small frame

She stretches her golden arms out

Her fingers become rainbows

Her hair becomes silver ribbons

Faster and Faster she dances

Until they smile

Until they relax

Those stuffy Business people

They smile and they are glad

For she is a wonderful daughter

She is the child Happiness

Remeber her when you smile

When you laugh

When your with a friend

For the Child happiness

Has Blessed you.
