So your sitting in the waiting room

when the doc walks in

and says "Sorry son she's gone."

 

You throw some chairs

 run your hands through your hair,

didn't think today would be that day.

a tear running own your face

what you were gonna tell her now you'll never say.

 

So don't hesitate

don't procrastinate,

You're lookin' down on her now,

what was once a pretty face

is now a dead pale lifeless girl.

 

Now you're sitting in the dark

Silence all around

It seems like everyone's calling your bluff

 

You think back on those times

You talked to her and realise

you didn't say those tree words enough.

 

Your mom walks in

turns on the light

you just snarl at her and curse

 

She slams the dorr closed

and you feel kind of bad

but you remember you're feeling worse.

 

So please don't hesitate

don't procrastinate,

what was once a pretty face

So when she visits you in your dreams,

and your breaking from the seams,

what do you plan to say?

what do you plan to do?

 

When she says

"You waited to long to tell me,

Hon, I do believe it's a sin.

Darling you don't know the truth!

But now I'm rotting in my coffin."

 

So never, ever hesitate

don't procrastinate

this is pure crap as a poem.. but its pure perfection as a song, like something you would hear on the radio.. it needs a chorus a chanting reiteration of the truth you convey so perfectly well in the pure bliss of this writing.. (ps. it was a brilliant poem) Push the envelope, sing that song and keep writing and singing others.. you are a very good writer! -s

So sad! And I've been that guy not too long ago, but my case didn't involve death, thankfully. But I still didn't achieve anything....
