The Heartbreak

Yes, it happened.

Finally it happened,

my face saddened,

as the stretched string broke,

when she said she loves me no more.

 

Now It's just me,

standing in the middle of the ring,

facing this harsh reality,

as I broke down finally.

 

All the beliefs, all the hopes,

didn't play a role at all,

as I dangle my now heartless body from the rope,

and there's nothing to stop my fall.

 

I can't be your 'friend' anymore,

I can't talk to you anymore,

because the power is great that I had,

I wish I just stop being sad.

 

Something tells me,'this had to happen',

as I felt the noose around my neck tighten,

and I stare at her words later,

and realise, "there really IS no Happily ever after".
