Once another plush grove.

Once another plush grove.

Watching the clock tick, it’s near boring

Old wives tales get lost each morning,

Fawning through dawn,

Gaunt applause stands taut.

This mourning is caused by a reticent pause.

Swaths of amber leaf - for each ember ----

Words of scripture, born, betrothed, ended no qualms.

Oh but If I spoke their language, how would one form

Impulsive rapture, gathered emerald gardens,

Ripped up gauze, torn, perform safe coitus again.

If I had more of it I would flip and chase these vixens.

Amoral lance apart, ambling profiteers,

Of course I spend my time idly, wasting.

Because my words weigh as much as air,

Wing-spun feathers drawn neither nor care,

Listless issues get drowned with foxed overtures,

Wonder is studded under jinxed cadavers,

Plunder run asunder, thunderous thoughts

thing i love about your writing is WHERE you hide the rhymes... they sneak up on you, hidden like cheetahs in the topiary.

this is a damned sexy write, seduction for the word-addicted, methadone for intelligence..

This is a very well written piece, I enjoy the wording and the flow of the poem. The color makes my eyes bleed though, and I didn't care for the change in text change at the end, it isn't very aesthetically pleasing. Overall, this is a very intriguing poem, I love the vivid imagery.
