no time to spare

no time to spare

A Poem by AKhaus

she hurries through the crowd, eyes fixed.
pale, so white the skin that trails in the vision of her.
no time, no time has she to spend, to spare in her flight.
passion filling her with the dark of the night.
possessed with memories she cuts the fabric of life.
she is designing the most elaborate story, yet it slowly carves too deep with that knife.
she can hear the tick, tick, ticking as the arms of solid black chime another minute by.
no time, no time has she to spend, to spare in her flight.
an obsession with the construction of another world, she sets her heart on that imaginary realm she creates.
nothing will keep her from this, the lines will not cease from her mind.
no time, no time has she to spend, to spare in her flight.
complete madness fills her and with every word written she learns she will never find.
