never unchanged

never unchanged

A Poem by AKhaus

tossing my heart through these flames, I am not the same, never unchanged.
the ivory keys, plucking and pounding these strings.
vibrations consuming this air, invading me everywhere.
I can't go home, I can't keep up this game.
layers of color painting me with shame.
the bass striking every note, the chords reaching such raw heights.
my chest ripped open with this perfect measure.
the score dancing with pleasure, with pain.
beats repeating, the melody wanting to flood this hollow.
I am not the same, never unchanged.
