midnight

midnight

A Poem by AKhaus

Dearest midnight...can you hear the echo from my grave from which I will defy these rusted bones.
Your black cannot turn me into the ground, your silence will not crush my voice.
I write you this letter to inform you that I won't let you take any more from me.
Can you hear that pounding, it's my heart, it's my head relentlessly fighting.
Your whispers are lost along the trail and I cannot sacrifice to that darkened sky.
I will not stop until I have reached the sun.
