Soulmate...

Soulmate...

A Poem by Kashmire Valentine

With the emotions I have
You would never know
The pain I go through
Nor will it ever show
Because my actuality
Could never be my reality
As the world only counts me as only a technicality
Showing the world's true brutality
Knowing this cruel fate
I know it's already to late
For the world's expiration date approaches
I could never know of the love that fills up oceans
From my deadly fate
To the pain I've learned to hate
But sadly this is my tragic fate
I would tell you but sadly it already to late
But just know that I will always love you my beloved Soulmate

I regret clicking on your profile and being intrigued enough to take a glimpse into seeing what your writing style is like. I am completely and utterly heartbroken and I can, personally, relate to the message you have managed to create in your poem. I admire the diction you used to portray and to mesh the meanings into a ravenous depth of pain. You were able to convey deep, conflicting emotions. With my current situation and experiences, I can honestly relate to the pain and it feels as fresh as ripping off a clinging band aid. Bravo! I have to say, you broke my heart and reminded me of pain I want to ignore, but your poem contains a tender message of coming to terms with your fate and accepting the pain that is to come with because if it is not meant to be then it is not meant to be. When it comes to love, life can throw obstacles, but at the end of the day, you must learn to recognize what are obstacles and what are signs that it is not meant to be regardless of what you do. I am personally proud of your beautiful writing. Please, keep up the impeccable work!!!
