You and Me

"In this heart I’m afraid of your entry, due to my uncertainty of you and me."

Once upon a time there was you and me,

With you time stops momentarily.

We're enjoying each others company, 

That's why my heart's in full glee.

I know we could love each other deeply,

And have this amazing love story.

But I cowardly face the reality,

Our reality full of uncertainty.

"What if your heart doesn't belong to me?"

This thought terrifies me,

That's when I ended our story,

And turned everything to a memory.

Now our past seems blurry,

Is it just I who assumed the "we"? 

Maybe friendship is all you have for me;

And this poem you'll disagree.

Once upon a time there was you and me, 

An illusion of loving each other eternally.

Yes I might have loved you genuinely,

Or I could've loved the thought of what we could be.
