A Kings Queen

A Kings Queen

A Poem by King James

A Kings Queen

There’s trouble lurking behind each corner and concealed in the shadows,

Death leads some to a path lower than the sediment of gravel.

A heart filled with vengeance emits merciless blood through the veins,

Treason committed against me leaves my brain in pain.

But you are quiet the opposite of promiscuous,

Your patience with me makes your beauty more luminous.

Never swarmed with stress, laid back and overflowing with bliss,

I’m set a blaze by anger, and cooled down by your soothing kiss.

An empire on the brink of dominant escalation,

With out you would have just been a crippling foundation.

Such power do I sense when I hold you at night,

Without you I’d be lost you are my hope of light.

My life, my wife everything that makes me not fold,

And in return you feel the same our love is fully exposed.

And so we move as one, in unity and peace,

Aiding each other in making one another complete.

We were meant to be, and we yearn for each other’s presence,

Our difference helps us learn more about each other’s essence.

So as I kneel down and place on your finger this ring,

And ask will you journey by my side as my queen.
