The Offer!

The Offer!

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

Those times when one must say no!

"

Bare feet crisp as winter snow on marble,

Men waiting in stone to look upon us few,

Gather thoughts of sins committed before now,

Once forgiven you go forth and apply now new.

He comes for her and you at darkened eve,

Never known yet recognised by us on sight,

Black clothes leave tales unspoken or thought,

Never kneel you faithful for weapons he uses fright.

Command no sing no and say no as always,

Remember it is not his to convey or see,

People walk in blood and in bodies of food,

Were weak at our level and protected agree.

Goodbye strangers of goblins and monsters,

Your power is clear and strong and destroyed,

Merely pray my darlings and all are answered,

I tell you be free and forgive all never avoid.

We...? are you many in there? hmmm.
Ok honesty. I got bits and pieces of thoughts and chips falling off emotions as if grated cheese from a solid block to flavor a salad. Yes, a salad I think.
Parts of the poem stumbled off and tripped my thinking. So, I sort of hopped along the solid rocks in the write to get to the other side. Looking back, I desired either to wade into the waters or have a solid path.

Command no. That's a challenge sometimes but without that command his recognition might as well go unnoticed. A good poem Thomas.

You're welcome Thomas.
"Honestly is what we love." I can completely agree but I think sometimes it is not what we want to hear we love the truth but are sometimes afraid of what it may bring

Thank you Rose.
The critical answer of no is so important to fend off so many things and cut to the chase of the game or evil. It asserts our will in the matters of things and shows we are free human beings...All well said and spoken...:)

Thank you Jacob.
It is definitely better to say "no" than, "I'll think about it." Because you may very well not think about it, but they will. Very cool Thomas.
