NOAH

NOAH

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A tribute to a departed soul, a child that fought an immense battle and fulfilled the life's of every person in my home village. To his family my heart breaks for you, be well my darlings.

"

Endearing soul made angel in waiting by God,

Crept forth in time of need and feeling,

Commanded to earth in the form of a child,

Born perfect to a village jaded and seeming.

Crafted lives never stay long for this world,

That smile broke hearts and demanded tears,

A family protective and ready to fight,

Yet spirits know best and cast us with fears.

A person of unshakeable strength against all,

Neither fault nor sickness gained power over you,

Fought against those who said let him be,

A warrior never giving up that second of few.

Dear Noah your life means strength to us all,

A child taller that men or mountains or sky,

You may have gone for now from loving embrace,

Dear boy keep soaring and watch over us, fly, fly, fly.

It's BEAUTIFUL.
To be honest, I didn't the first part and drove right through to the poem so I thought you were writing about the Noah who had the ark.
It did seem like they both went through similar feelings with different times and circumstances.
I'm sure Noah's in a better place and blessings to his family.
I have a nephew named Noah and know my family would be devastated if he died.
Children are such a big lively part of any family, like Mr. Scott said, they teach us much.
Well done with this piece!

Children teach us much Tom...
They seem to have the best qualities when the chips are down... really down.
They handle sickness, divorce, betrayal, and abandonment with love and grace. It is the true nature of humanity in these young unstained lives.

You have written a fine tribute to this child.

Thank you David.
This is a heart wrenching piece. It conveys the emotion perfectly, eloquently, and there it is, starkly, out on the page. Myself, I find it hardest to write like this. It literally hurts to put it out there. I feel it.

Thank you KL, indeed this was one piece that really was tough to write.
This is a sad piece.Sometimes they come for just a time to touch us and then god needs them back because they surely are angels lent to us to make us better.

Thank you Tom.
Very eloquent and also very moving. It seems to me that children often know more than most adults (myself included).
