A Mother's Goodbye.

A Mother's Goodbye.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

For anyone who has lost their Mother - my prayer is with you! This was written for my Grandmother (My Mother's, Mother). However I do dedicate it to all Mother's no longer with us!

"
A stare of blindness,
A touch of prayer,
A cast of silence,
Your no longer there.
A Mother's touch,
A heart of gold,
A mind of secrets,
None you told.
A home you made,
A home for all,
A home that's safe,
The home did fall.
A Mother is gone,
An angel is born,
A memory has left,
Her children torn.
A love has not stopped,
A love is still here,
A love is forever,
Her love is near.

I wrote this almost like a prayer, for those great Mother's no longer with us.

This is so beautiful, and simple, and true -- now I know this poem has had over 600 views, and I would not be able to go thru them all, but the first your seems like it should be you're, but was pointed out previously, so maybe you intended it that way.

The intention is correct, thank you, this is a piece that sits with me still.

This must be an Ode (if I may wax off the poetic form of an Ode).
I still have my mother, but this piece strongly moved me.
Mothers are our unsung heroes!

This is beautiful but yet depressing. Losing any member of your family is always hard to deal with. I have lost a lot of family members throughout my years being alive. Sometimes I take forgranted for the ones that are still with me. My mother lost her mom when she was only 18 due to biploar illness getting to her mind really bad. I wish I would've been able to meet her, but she's in a better place now. A great dedication and I like how it's formed into an almost prayer. I only noticed one mistake. (Your no longer there) should be *You're no longer there*

Again, this is complete excellence! :D

Losing your mom...or any loved one is like...I can't even compare it to anything because the pain is so...crazy. You penned a beauty here though and in such a way that appeals to everyone who reads and embraces its message.
