The Game of War.

The Game of War.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A simple look at leaders and their faults.

"
Big boy's with their toys,
Of biological destruction,
Killing of innocents,
With no replication,
No peace on the planet,
For I or you,
The fear has ended,
For those lucky few.

The poem is direct and true. I try to tell my daughter today. Wars like Vietnam were to test weapons for powerful countries. The Big boy's control the world. Peace is possible. In the time from 1980-2001 with other leadership. Logic was used to stop major war. I hope for common sense and logic for the sake of my children and all people. A powerful poem. Made me think.

War is a terrible thing - of killings and reprisals over things that don't matter in the bigger picture and man needs to distinguish and prioritize between needs and greed. You have portrayed a compelling picture here Thomas.

Reminds me of that one quote, "Only the dead have seen the end of war". Or...however it went. =P

Nice, short, to the point.
