Try To Think

Try To Think

A Poem by .abigail.

Lies fill your head and heart

While you try to think.

Ignoring your heart.

Knocking on its closed door,

Your true self tries to escape.

Bang, bang BANG!

Off straight to your head the noises go,

Pounding away while you try to think.

Ignoring your heart.

Lost in the world of today,

Which places little value on feelings,

Your head throbs in time with your heart,

Demanding that you release it,

That you unlock it.

While you try to think,

He comes along.

A smile, a laugh is all it takes.

With a thudding of your heart,

It opens wide like an empty vessel,

Waiting to be filled with what was once ignored and forgotten.

While you try to think,

Your true self takes over and

You feel.

I could really feel the release of your heart's tension in this. I especially enjoyed how you begin with "Lies fill your head and heart

While you try to think.

Ignoring your heart."
I think this is true for everyone.
Overall, I enjoyed this!

Hey. My real name isn't Abigail, but I prefer it, and I don't want my friends to read any of the stuff I've written, so I'm not putting my real name. I was born in 1994, I live in Australia. M.. more..
