Candy

A silly little poem I wrote about candy.

Candy

So sweet and delicious

Teeth rotter and completely non-nutritious

 

Some simply melt to the touch

Some you almost can’t get too much

 

Some are blue and some are red

That sounds like something you know who would have said

 

Some are sour and some hot

Sometimes homemade or store bought

 

Some are hard and chewy

Some are soft and gooey

 

Some have many flavors

Like jolly crunchers and safe favors

 

Some can even be salty and some on a stick

Some you chew, some you lick

 

When it comes to candy, there are many different types

Some with spots and some with stripes

 

Candy is a wonderful thing

Candy can make the soul sing
