To tell you about this moment
I just witnessed.
I wanted to be honest so I asked if I could be real with you.
Started off by saying that i've been trying to remain patient but my heart was in a rush to feel it.
I explained that I know I come off like another player but the game no longer excited me so I put down my controller.
Told you that I know you're no stranger to the lies but I didn't want to control ya.
That's why I was trying to keep up with you.
But you wasn't trying to slow down so that I could've joined.
But I was persistent so I kept going.
Said when you walked past.
I couldn't let the chance pass.
I did notice how that thing switches in the back.
What had caught my attention tho was how you walked by with your head high yet didn't have a smile on that beautiful face.
And it had saddened my heart.
To see someone so gorgeous look so torn apart.
So I told you that I was making this world our place.
I was going to open your eyes while I had your time & show you what words couldn't say.
I asked if you'd take my hand & let me build you back up?
You gently put your hand in mine & I knew you seen something you could trust.
From there it was nothing but us.
A king & a queen sitting comfortably in their thrones without a worry in their soul.
We created a world for us that wasn't as cold. Tell me ma.
Don't that sound quite promising.
Could you imagine having a happily ever ending.
It could all be so simple.
If you could just find my words to be true.
