Verse 1:

I've built a wall around myself.

How to break free-ay?

I got some holes in my pockets, yeah,

And some more in my heart.

And I'm trying to fill it,

But it just ain't workin'.

And all I feel is empty, empty, empty yeaaah mmm.

Verse 2:

I guess you could say I've been runnin' fast.

New places, new faces.

Yet somehow it's all the same.

And I'm dying to fit in,

But it just ain't workin'.

I want something more, o-o-woah,

Than this world!

Chorus:

So here I am now

What's left of me anyway and I wanna

Shake off these chains of mine and

Walk into Your light.

I wanna feel something new inside; I wanna

Feel something beautiful

Take over me, take over me now.

Author's Note

I wrote this song a few months ago for an amazing friend of mine. :) I've had a tune in my head for it, but we still haven't gotten around to actually finishing it... yet. Like you all know, though, I'm average on my song writing skills, so xD

I enjoyed the first verse more... It was beautiful, reflecting life and it's thoughts... The chorus one has got a humming tune in it... Very well done...

Beautiful song, I enjoyed reading these lyrics and what more I love in this song is your "Yeaaah mmm" ..Whao! Sounds very intoxicating to me! I don`t find you any average at writing songs at all, you write very well ... I`d love look forward to reading your stuffs!
