Drink Up

We are merely glasses waiting to be full

We are all just glasses in a cabinet. 

Waiting to be chosen,

for that one time we will be

full. 

Instead we are dropped,

so we fear being full entirely.

Unusual viewpoint described with compelling brevity. To me, this seems like a sad & desperate way to look at life, but I can understand how life could be looking this way to many of those who are longing to be "chosen" perhaps!??!?! I understand the want, indeed the need to feel wanted.
We would wonder why we are here otherwise. All too
well I appreciate the idea of being used too fully and then
