Bright Blue Eyes

 

Mindless babble
Midnight skies
Swinging hammock
Fireflies

 

Futon mattress
Stormy skies
Vinyl records
Lingering Lies

 

Bittersweet laughter
Starlit skies
Fireworks
and Last Goodbyes.

Author's Note
I wanted the \'sky\' to be an ongoing theme through this piece, but after writing it, I kind of feel like the repetition of it breaks the poem\'s flow. What do you think?
