A Ballad for Life

As I Serenate life 

Death breaks the strings on my guitar 

Happiness sits in the audience 

Suffering is the judge  

I sing life a beautiful song

As death strangle the chords  

Happiness will give me a standing ovation

Suffering will fail to rate my score  

I sing loudly so life could hear it 

but death pulls the plug of my microphone 

Happiness sings along to the unheard lyrics  

Suffering will always deny an encore

I spend my time singing

Hoping that life will hear happiness at the distance

But I know death will have me

When suffering ends the show

I'm really new to poetry so my feedback can only go to personal taste.
It is quirky, a bit sad but also inspirational...I hope that it is just a poem and that your life is not a reflection of it.
And you are correct, life is hard and definitely not fair but when you have a gift like you do, it can't be all bad....good luck

thank you for your feedback. I do not consider myself a poet, so needless to say poetry is very new to me. I like to write down my thoughts, and they come in the best way possible, in verses.
