Word Wars

Word Wars

A Poem by k
"

Describing the perfectionism of a lady for her career in writing. Swept by the needs of a 'perfect work' and demands of the world, she has forgotten her original way of expression.

"

A new piece of art

That precision-hit dart;

It was given life by her,

With the strokes of wither.

As the dumb curves,

Blabber their tongues;

The fish hooks, commas

Wait to be mastered by her..

The ink streaks arrow perfection,

Towards the galaxy of hearts;

Shooting fountain of stars,

She wins all the glory wars.

The tiaras around the words,

Surely pour the glamour;

But among the worldly fetters,

She has lost herself between her own letters.

I am just an amateur. I began to write a month ago. I don't have good command on English. plus I don't have much idea about such literary stuff :)

I thoroughly enjoyed your poetry very much, especially your chosen similes and metaphors. I thought your command of English was quite good. The only thing I could say against (this being entirely my personal taste) was that I didn't find the ending nearly as satisfying.
