I ran to the point I looked behind
And saw nothing
I kept running
I can't see the finish line
But I know I will stop one day
I hope you follow my footprint
And run after me
Make a difference
And run beyond me

Welcome to the Café, My New Friend!
I hope you'll enjoy it here, make many new friends, and learn some great things about poetry and reviewing.
I think this is an excellent introductory poem for us to get to know you.
It expresses how life can seem to be a race where we have goals and aims we steadily strive toward, often feeling like we're getting nowhere, but if we have determination, we keep on looking ahead, setting the example and (if we're lucky) showing the way for others to follow and exceed even what we've done … until, one day it's all over and we can look back to where we once saw nothing, and (hopefully) with great pride and satisfaction all we've accomplished.
I really like the simplicity and cleanness of your presentation, too, with a good title and introductory comment. I look forward to more of your work, over time.
