The Moon

The Moon

A Poem by kuru

Lantern of borrowed light,
flickering without any pride.
Seducer of the ocean tide,
lips rendez-vous under your sight.

Trapped amidst the artificial might
no longer the essence of the night

Fear not, my crescent....

for when you are full
these fluorescence are no match
for your luminous pull.

great metaphors, " lantern of borrowed light" perfect opening line

the moon calls even in the city ...

Cool. I love the ending and the reference to the luminous pull. Having worked with the mentally ill, the full moon changes them for sure. Hence, "lunatic." lol Also, werewolves are people affected by a mental illness, that causes them to believe they turn into wolves under a full moon. For me personally, a full moon means I won't be getting much sleep that night. :)
