Refuge

Refuge

A Poem by kuru

A second drops---
swirling galaxies
igniting stars
expanding light
----creating vision.

Humanity awakes to the sound
of delusional waves
hitting against
the rocks of truth
---eroding it away into sands of deceit.

Taking refuge under fabrication
----Humanity plays
Imprinting their souls along this beach
----Humanity pays
Building castles, hoping they'll last forever
---Humanity paves
                       Inching forward
Time is their enemy
they wage wars against it
trying to
            tame it
            manage it
            blame it------

A second drops--
Humanity stops.

This poem is different--in a good way. I love the way you started with the beginning of life and then ended it at the end. It makes you wonder about what we will be doing when the world ends.

Like Saul Williams meets Johnny rotten. The opening of galaxies and astral bodies lead into the unstoppability of the times that flies.
The idea that the everlasting rock of truth is being slowly eroded by waves of s**t is a brilliant touch.

Good on ya

Very good. The writing structure helps it to read in a serious undertone. Great job.

Such an evocative cautionary piece. This is so well-constructed and just hauntingly beautiful in it's plea. Excellent!

all the world's a stage~ the directors are monsters and most of us get stuck with sucky scripts~ I believe nothing anymore~ nothing served in pixels to dumb down and placate ~ sensationalist madness is what's gonna drag the human world to ground in the end~

powerful and clear strike to the conscious mind~ poetic excellence~

I'm nobody! Who are you? Are you nobody, too? Then there's a pair of us — don't tell! They'd banish us, you know. How dreary to be somebody! How public, like a frog To tell your name th.. more..
