and I saw time crumble--crumble---crumble under the fireworks
for the light was too fast--- faster--faster than time
i hopped on-- riding--riding--riding its wavelength
it took me a year, a year--a year ahead---splitting this second

if I could take back the night
it would take me a year back

I DO like this - the image of time crumbling behind the fireworks, underscoring all we have is this moment...
