Tonight, i wont write about love!

Tonight, 
I wont write about love.
No, not tonight.
Tonight I will write
about the silent sky
and the moon,
that on his chest he holds.
I will write about this fog
that got my city strangled
just like a tight rope.
Tonight,
I will write about my garden
and the frozen flowers there-
that show me that death
is a sight to behold!
Tonight,
I will write about life
and death
and how fast this fleeting life goes!

But, when i looked down
just like on every other night
tonight, I again,
on the spread page
“I miss you” wrote.

Perceptive eyes you got there :).
You know, the first and the only poem of Neruda i have ever read was "Tonight i can write the saddest lines", and i read it a night before i wrote this. And you can see the effect .

I absolutely love this poem. It has this almost hopeful tone throughout it, saying that the persona will not write of the love felt for another. Yet when it comes to the end, everything reverts to the love. It's so sad at this point, and I can almost feel the pain felt in missing the person. I truly appreciate the emotion conveyed in this poem.. Thanks so much for posting it :) xx

And as for Tirana, well close enough, but i actually live in Kosovo/Prizren, Kosovo was not on the list, so i had to pick Albania....

hahahahaa and the thing is, we are not serbs, we are Albanians :P, so we speak the same language as Albania does, which is Shqip :P

In Italia, where I lived I met a girl from Tirana, and she spoke Italian we could communicate so well.... it was fun!

Well, it's more like Illyrian. it's a language in it's own, doesn't have to do anything with other languages. Actually, is one of the oldest spoken languages in Ballkan, and if i can say Europe.
And yes, of course, i can teach you anytime you want :D

That is the best reply of the night, I learned something totally new, I have fam from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Russia, Italia, but now I learned your rare Balkan pearl, for now, learn me, I'm serious. I was in Taranto, (soutern Italy) a lot of times in my life, and everytime we and fam, planned to go to Albania with the boat, but then uncle got seasick so we didn't... (that's why I am so interested) :D a traveler by land/road/sea and in heart. Thanks.
