Rain Scented

Rain Scented

A Poem by Kyla Ford

Destiny can smell rain.

When we walk,

her neck angles up

into a straight line -

her nostrils flare wide -

she parts her lips

to prophesy.

Skeptics need not apply.

Yes,

everyone can

smell rain,

but not like destiny can.
