Entrenched beneath the quiet starboard bow, A small boat below the might of stormy seas, Where hope has faded, hushed despair comes now, The dance with solemn skies upon night’s breeze.
As somber sorrows drench the midnight’s face, This tear-filled ocean threatens to consume; The only light in memories once traced, Where echoes flash in lightning’s silent tomb.
A lifetime shattered, where his hidden cries, In solitude, succumb to hollowed truth, Amongst the fears that lay beyond the lies Amongst the remnants of his broken youth…
His torment, friend amidst his unkempt vows, Entrenched beneath the quiet starboard bow.
I think I've read this one before lil bro but I must pass comment once again. I was a mariner myself for nearly eight years so I have a great affinity for the sea and sea poetry really catched my mind . This sonnet is full of imagery and metaphor...a broken youth caught up the the seas of lament. Great work lil bro.

This is a wonderful sonnet, I loved many of the lines such as S1L3. The meter and rhyme are done beautifully too. Well done! I don't know why I didn't have you as a friend over on AP :O I love formal poetry!
