Moiety

Moiety

A Poem by lindsay

The people you love

will be pencil shavings

and lost balloons if not gingerly cared for

by your effervescent benevolence. .

And all the throbbing grief you will

have can not simply be caught

in you hands no matter how far you outstretch

those fingers to some how grasp hold of

what is no longer there. Because of what you did not do,

this is the after effect you must deal with.

The greatest piercing ache that tingles even the tiniest hair

is no match for the sheer loss of their presence all together.
