Resolutions

Resolutions

A Poem by Lana

I want my dreams to rescue me
Hope and ambition to make my heart less heavy
I got a feeling if I achieve something
My accomplishment will save me

When you realize everything you thought you knew was just a trick
I'm walking blindfolded, this tattoo on my mind is like a brick
It puts a weight on my shoulder,a responsibility
To take care of myself the best I can, the rest is God's will
My mind is heavy, I'm artificially guilty even when I know it's bullshit
I'm artificially scared, of this temple and soul I can no longer control
I look out at the sea and I don't wish I was drowning
Not anymore not when I'm close to reality
I look out the horizon and it doesn't seem so out of reach
Not anymore not when I know my life is beyond me
It's beyond what I am, beyond what the world is
Me and you, we can make a team
Finally
