Put down the blade

Put down the blade

A Poem by lapoesieducoeur

Put down the blade
and pick up the pen
The scars will fade
the pain, who knows when..

It’s hot outside,
yet I wear a jumper;
“I’m cold” I beg,
you think “you liar”

“I can’t just tell you the truth
I scream at you, inside my head
If I tell, will you run away
or worse still, will you stay?

Do what is right, not what is easy!”
Why smile? when you want to cry?
Why should I eat? I only feel queazy!
Why live? when everyone wants you to die?
