I am my own tattooist

I am my own tattooist

A Poem by lapoesieducoeur

When I cut, I am my own tattooist
I dont do it to die
I cut to show myself that
some scars are physical but
most are not

I know each scar personally
I can tell you the why, where, when and how,
Hundreds of stories, known only by me,
I am my own librarian.

I write my future, much like an author
but it is the past, that I carve
like a pumpkin to a child
or granite to a stonemason
my arms are a true work of art!

I see you stare, when you think I’m not looking;
my arms are the window to my past,
my eyes to my soul,
and my scars to my future.

About
I am an anonymous poet, writing my poetry as a means of dealing with the monsters in my head. Yes I have suffered and still am, but with my writings I might just get better. more..
