Give it time

She thought she had escaped it

The pain

She couldn't find peace at home

She's still looking for peace away from home

Love songs, books, boys, cats, friends

Nothing took away the pain

Continents away she still feels it

It is not more or less

She is a woman now

She has seen, felt and understands more

But experience didn't diminish the pain 

She keeps it hidden from everyone

Time is her savior

As days turned into weeks and then years, 

She's left with just a memory of the pain.
