Are You Happy?

Are You Happy?

A Poem by Cheyenne

Your song played this morning.
You two danced and danced
until you fell over on the floor, laughing.
You picked each other up and started again.

Are you happy?
I sure hope you are,
although I don't see what's so pleasant
about living your life in so much sin.

It's obvious you two are in love.
Does this love make you happy?
A love full of deception and hidden lies.
Broken promises and torn hearts.

Happy?
I hardly dare to ever think so.
Yet you are still overjoyed.

Do you even realize what you've done to her?
She is no longer the same.
You tricked her into believing and trusting
this so-called happiness you created.

Now, you twirl in circles together
and shriek with laughter.

Are you happy
that you destroyed her chance?
A chance to stay away from the very sins that you committed.
A chance to not make the same mistakes.

I sure hope you're happy with what you've done,
because now it's too late to take it back.

I'm not really sure about this one...I could've put more effort into it.
