Starry Eyes

Starry Eyes

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

You know one is tired when they begin to write about it like this....

"

Every day etches out every wrinkle.....Exactly where extraordinary memories lay

Yes years yearn to come and go.....    Yet I yellow at the thought of being alone

Ebony skies echo through the eons.....Earlyrises run errands unaware of eyes that watch

Stairs split the two of us from sight.....Stars silently shine like eyes always spying

And you wrote it well. :) Good job putting up with the rules of the form!! Excellent read, even if one didn't know the form, who reads it.
Stars do seem like spying eyes at times... they certainly do.
It also gives a very different feel when each part is read separately- the real key to a trigee.
Bravo!!

I love this format you laid out and the sentiment is powerful... I could feel the loneliness of someone lost in this journey of life... beautiful work.

Such a beautiful write, embedded in structure and yet free! Wonderful work of art and such a joy to read...
