Aren't We All

Aren't We All

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

I see that description more and more.......

"

When ask to identify

Why do most cry,

"Dreamer! Dreamer! What I do is dream"

Is 'Dreamer' Revelation's great beam

What I want is to Be, or would that be a lie?

For what have I done to 'Be'

Cured? Healed? Is there anything created that you see

Alas, must I fall to the title 'Dreamer' as well

I suppose now is best since it won't be too far from where I fell

Now, we all can capture the title 'Dreamer' with sarcastic glee

hmmm I'm unsure and getting used to your style, which is all good I like new :)
It's complex , and there are a lot of ideas that need to be teased out ..

The line "Is 'Dreamer' Revelation's great beam"
I wonder personal revelation or that of St. John .. , the great beem being the light ...
The counter here is also interesting !
"Now, we all can capture the title 'Dreamer' with sarcastic glee"
A tendency to mock at "dreams" , the modern malaise
My thoughts ?
Dreams - Faith -Ideals trampled upon in the face of technological progress
and here "Cured? Healed? Is there anything created that you see"
created or Created, reminds me of the soviet Gulags and reeducation camps.
Who gets to decide what is real ? Me? You ? The State ?
If you see an Angel should I celebrate or call an ambulance ?
A little poem with interesting thoughts :)

Haha, yea, i can relate to this as well. Ive been called a dreamer, and i consider myself a dreamer...and a wisher, too lol. Just wished i had somebody, and wished i had a job lol. But, knowing my luck...well, im just not that lucky. But this was a really awesome poem. Loved it :)

Is there really a dividing line between those that Dream and those that Be? For do not those that Be, still Dream of more?

Excellent. Our dreams guide our thoughts, but unless we are called to action, are our dreams just a waste?

Only one problem that I see, and that is When ask to identify, should that be When asked to identify. Well written.

I love being a dreamer myself - there is always something to look forward to - always magic to believe in - always hope to hold within a broken heart. Don't knock being a dreamer; it is one of the best things in life to be - I think sometimes people believe dreamers never do - but that isn't the case most of the time - dreamers are the ones who end up doing great things. Be proud and keep dreaming :-)

wow. awesome. loved it. I thought it really flowed well. It seems to me this poem is questioning a dreamer for what they really really are and who has the right to claim the title. I may have the idea all wrong but i still love it

great writing
