Met

Met

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

Have you ever passed a road-side contruction worker or prisoners working on the side of the road?

"

For a moment I was in his world

In his eyes

In his thoughts

Never to meet again

But for one eclipsed fragmented moment

Our eyes touched

Pure, simple and encapsulates in a second a whole range of emotions. Of course I'm married, so this never happens to me anymore..lol..but I remember. I sometimes think this is my favourite kind of poetry, no waffle and pretentious language, just everyday words and phrases..thanks for sharing...

I felt it too, Laura. Good work. This is lovely.

Oh yes, I've had that experience.

It can be precious, even though fleeting!

Sometimes we connect with someone deeply, even if only for a moment, and other times there seems to be no connection at all, even though we are looking into each others' eyes.

Fascinating, isn't it?

This is lovely snippet in time and I would like to see it expanded on just a bit more because the concept is great. It would be cool if you could create kind of an unspoken dialougue in this piece (his thoughts in black vs. your thoughts in pink as you caught each others glance?)
