Perfect Day

Perfect Day

A Poem by Laura E. Aranda
"

We have giant jasmine bushes here in Louisiana and this poem was beginning in my head days ago......

"

Posies have come… bid good-bye

Every other flower has vanished long ago

Roses, haughty as they may be
Flaunting their scents have faded away so fast
Enchanted by this one little jasmine was I
Capsuled by columns of green in all its innocence
Tiny dew drops glisten on his pure ivory skin

Drawn to its lasting splendor
Aching for one last whiff of summer
You, little jasmine created one last perfect day

Yes we all hate when summer leads to Fall. Those chills in the night are never looked for with smiles. great piece.

Aaahhhhhh yes, the last days of summer with it's beautiful flowers will soon be giving way to Autumn. The leaves are beginning to fall and the days and nights are becoming cooler.
This poem is so beautiful Laura.

I think this is marvelous. I love the dissing of the rose, since it's such a typical poetic flower. Others are far more beautiful in writing. :)
Well done.

Dear Laura,

This is a fine piece, full of longing for summer. Very descriptive. Focused in its message and very evocative of those emotions. There is no "fluff" here. The poem is tight and powerful. One of your best.

Kind regards,

Rick
