Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by LDV

I remember the way we looked
blurred in the blue neon light
alone, together.
the walls of the room
were the edges of our universe
There is a stillness here with you,
a warm oblivion
in a sacrilegious kingdom.
time slowed to a lazy, candied crawl
like a bee drowning in honey
matter and space warped around us
and pulled us under its dark waves
into a dimension of our own
I remember the way we looked
before the world spit us out
