I knew it's never going to happen
Not even in a million years
Nor in a thousand lifetimes
You and I together
Just seems so impossible

But I just want to tell you
Something I've been holding back
Even when I knew
How ill-fated I was
I should've told you I loved you.

If only I was a bit more braver
Bolder
Or even stranger
I should've told you that
Regardless of the result

It just doesn't feel right to keep it from you
You, who were the sole purpose
Of this poem
You, who were my fuel for writing
Should know that somewhere

You were once someone's world
My world, my universe, my everything
You should know of your power
That brings the best out of me
When you weren't even meant to.
