Summer Beauty

Summer Beauty

A Poem by Lexi Richard

sweet air and bronzy skin,
cricket symphonies
bird songs and popsicles,
skies like cotton candy
days feel as long as weeks,
sunsets like oil paint
hot pavement and fresh soil,
forests are green and quaint
Sunday mornings like a dream,
iced coffees and midnight walks
summer beauty is all around
it still gives me a shock
