On Love

On Love

A Poem by Lexi Richard

at times it's sweet
like caramel
and i smile like a doll
but other times
i am so weak
like i'm about to fall
days are either black or white
they flicker like a film
i'm constantly caught in-between
an ice age or a kiln
sometimes i want
to leave it all
to forget what i have been
but i know that it will hunt me down
and then be sweet again

I really, really, really love this! It's so beautiful and descriptive. It's also true, love is one thing one day, then something else the next. Great job!

Thank you!
I feel like this all the time when it comes to my relationship. Hot one day, ice cold the next. It's as if you ask yourself: 'where's the balance?' Very bipolar, opposite.

Exactly, love is a tricky thing.
Great write Lexi, its hard to decide sometimes about love, try to escape it and it comes right back, I love that line 'an ice age or a kiln' an inspired rhyme, truly worthy of the highest praise, very well done :)
