To Love and Be True...

"Every failure in love, gets you closer to the love that deserves you more."

Walking away is not meant to happen,

Standing besides you will be very often,

This you may refer to as respect or love

But for me it’s a life filled with lots of wow.

At first you never wore your heart on your sleeve,

But slowly you fell for me and my words you started to believe,

It helped you to reveal your feelings, as part of being in love

And confirmed my belief, that I only have eyes for thou.

It’s true, the course of true love never did run smooth,

The pain is somewhat similar to pulling out of baby tooth,

But promises are meant to be fulfilled no matter how

And our feelings would remain the same then, as it is now.

My words at first instant would seem to sound flowery,

But I have no other aim except expressing truly, deeply, madly.

These words are to fight with courage as all’s fair in love and war

To love and be true, is all what we should be known for…

I love the premise of what you created here. The expression of love is never easy and maintaining it is just as hard. We almost destroy ourselves to create anew a body with the person we love. My favorite lines are:
