Your Warmth

Your Warmth

A Poem by Charlotte e.e. Griffiths

The absence of feeling
dictated by the knowledge of the unknown..

I inhale the tobacco of your
                    welcome-home lungs,

Finding the cacaesthesia of time,
      mourning into the

  Devastation of your presence
You puke falsities of perception
                                          which you stupidly believe,

     And I,
                 somewhere in the middle,

            Learn the nature of
                                     hearts-ease.

JC
beautiful metaphor and wording with a vein of sadness and that stark reality that is true writing. Really enjoyed this.

Thank you so dearly for reviewing this piece! Your feedback was very kind, thank you thank you! x
A really smart use of spacing on display here, the sense of melancholy was really forced upon me. I'm also very fond of your imagery, particularly 'welcome-home lungs'. Great stuff, keep it up!
