Why do you hurt me?

Why do you hurt me?

A Poem by Black Rose

Why do you like to hurt me?
Why do you like to see me in pain?
Why is it that whenever I get up,
You always find a way to bring me down.

You turn my friends against me,
Making them hate me,
Just to see me upset,
And to see me cry.

The words you tell me,
Always hurt me,
But you never care,
All you do is laugh.

Sometimes you're nice,
But I never know if you mean it.
From now on I will be strong,
And just ignore what you say.

Just keep writing. Soon you will be able to capture things poetically and beautifully. Never put that pen down!!! :)

Well, there's nothing technically wrong with it, but this topic has been done over and over a million times and no matter how strong the sentiment behind you writing this piece, there's still the fact that it is really no different from any of the other poems or books or movies about this sort of thing. If you really want to make it stand out, I would personally turn it into more of a narrative and use more descriptive and poetic language instead of having it just be a sort of internal resolution on the part of the narrator.
