Some rime with that?

Some rime with that?

A Poem by Donald Meikle
"

Limerick verse one

"

A poet was rhyming an ode,

While driving his car down the road.

He became so engrossed,

His car hit a post,

And his trousers became a commode.

Great lim. I'm not sure if it defines this "Exit 8 road sign" logo, but it does deal with driving and such, so who knows.
For perfect TAM you might want to add the word "While" to the beginning of your line 2 and get rid of that space that seperates your first line from the rest of the limerick. You also need a little punctuation.
You should submit it at OEDILF.com to define "commode".

I started reading this in poetic meter (as opposed to limerick meter) and it was STILL great.

I like rewarding finishes. This definitely has one.

This is funny!
At times I enjoy reading poems on less-weighty topics for a change.
Its not always easy abiding by the structure of some forms of poetry...
But you did!
I enjoyed it!
