Two Hearts Meet

Two Hearts Meet

A Poem by Linear
"

A fantasy about long distance love

"
The waiting finally over
the day has come

Only hours away now
my hearts beating faster than a drum

Mouth dry, nervous as the clock ticks the minutes away
oh make it right, let me be perfect in her sight

Not long left now, i look at my watch
listen to the announcements over the sound system

Only moments now and she will arrive
adrenaline pumping through my veins, my heart feels likely to explode

I wait in nervous anticipation
will she love and still want me?

It's over, she stands, smiling tears brimming in her brown eyes
arms open we embrace

Our relief is overwhelming as we both openly weep
lips meet, a longed for kiss

Loves sweet triumph
is bliss

Love is a powerful thing. Something that people do not appreciate in these times. Good to see someone who relishes this amazing gift.

i'm a bit torn with this piece because you flew me to a moment that i don't want to remember because it was that bliss.........that i don't possess anymore

oh a new piece..! a very sweet poem, not exactly how I had pictured you, but a welcome turn! "smiling tears brimming in her brown eyes", I really liked that line. :)
